ANTARES staff developed a near-term forecast of the market potential for small-scale cogeneration, and compared it to other available forecasts. ANTARES staff reviewed the technology, economics, and market potential of small-scale cogeneration. A survey of currently available equipment and applications was conducted, and then comparisons to large-scale equipment were drawn. ANTARES also assessed the status of small-scale cogeneration in industry, constraints on market expansion, and the implications of small-scale cogeneration to the larger energy system.
