European Market Analysis for BIGCC Systems, GE Power Systems

ANTARES conducted a market analysis study for BIGCC systems for its client, GE Power Systems. The study projected the market size for 5 European countries: Finland, France, Germany, Sweden, and the UK. Biomass resources from the pulp and paper industry and from the Municipal Solid Waste stream were considered. The underlying drivers of the analysis include the following: 1) country-specific availability of biomass resources for energy conversion, 2) country-specific prices of available biomass resources, 3) BIGCC technology costs and characteristics provided by GE, and 4) country-specific electricity market prices. An accompanying policy summary was also prepared for each country.
